Our Apache servers run the Redhat 9 operating
system. Red Hat is a highly stable and efficient
UNIX operating system. The result is a flexible,

featuring climate control, power backups, and
full fire protection to guard our servers. To
ensure speed and reliability our servers are connected
to 15 lightning fast DS-3 lines from 20 diverse
backbones, totalling 675 Mbits of pure bandwidth!
Power Systems
2400 amps DC at -48 volt Lorain plant (unlimited
growth). 120 VAC and -48VDC available. 100% diesel
generator backup with auto start and auto transfer
switch. Generator capacity equal to building utility
service. Fuel capacity exceeds 24 hours. Fuel
delivery contract with 2-hour guarantee. LaMarche
UPS System with AC and DC inputs. Battery backup
to always exceed 4 hours.
Environmental Controls
Constant ambient air temperature of 72° (+
of - 2°) Liebert air, with separate Carrier
back-up. Under-floor cooling provided by computer-room
equipment. Humidity control via Liebert units.
Security and Access
Multiple layers of 24x7 security cameras, card
readers, and key pads. Access to equipment area
24/7 via card key and key pads. Non-customers
enter equipment area by escort only. All cabinets,
cages, and suites are locked. Facilities are monitored
with 24 hour recording and 5 day video storage.
Fire Suppression Systems
Pre-action sprinkler rated for telecommunication
equipment/computer room. Integrated smoke/heat
detector system.
Backup
Unlike many hosts who have no backup system or
use another hard drive as backup, we backup our
servers' hard drives nightly to tape so you know
your data is in safe.
